Welcome to the FAQ section for the User Management feature of Privacy Lock. Here you can find answers to commonly asked questions about managing users within the platform.


Q How do I add a new user?

A To add a new user:

  1. Navigate to the Manage Users page from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on the Create User button.
  3. Fill in the required details, including the user's email address and role.
  4. Click Save to create the user.

Q Who can add or remove users?

A Only users with the Super Admin role can add or remove users. If you need access, please contact your Super Admin.


Q What are the available user roles?

A

  • Super Admin: Full access to all platform features, including managing other users.
  • Manager: Limited access based on permissions set by the Super Admin.

Q How do I change a user's role?

A Currently, roles cannot be changed once a user is created. You may need to remove the user and re-add them with the new role.


Q How do I remove a user?

A To remove a user:

  1. Go to the Manage Users page.
  2. Find the user you want to remove in the list.
  3. Click the trash icon next to their entry.

Q What does the "On-Boarded" status mean?

A The "On-Boarded" status indicates that the user has successfully been added to the system and is active.


Q How many users can I add?

A The maximum number of users you can add is displayed above the user list (e.g., 1/10). If you need to increase the limit, contact support at support@privacylock.io.


Q Can I edit a user's email address?

A No, email addresses cannot be edited after a user is created. You will need to remove the user and create a new one with the correct email address.


Q How do I change my password?

A

  1. Navigate to the Security section from your profile settings.
  2. Enter your current password and the new password.
  3. Confirm the new password and click Save Changes.

Q What happens if I forget my password?

A If you forget your password, use the Forgot Password link on the login page to reset it. An email will be sent to your registered email address with further instructions.


Q How secure is user management on Privacy Lock?

A Privacy Lock employs industry-standard security measures, including encrypted communication and strict role-based access control, to ensure the security of your data.
